Yes, ever since the failed comeback in 2002 I have been wondering if this would ever happen. I'll be very interested to hear the album.
New Guns N' Roses Album in 2006, Axl SaysNew Guns N' Roses Album in 2006
I'm interested in this in the same way I slow down for car accidents. My curiosity is getting the better of me. I was a huge fan of GNR back in their day, and I'm curious to see what they sound like with, what, only one original member left?
Oawwkk. This is brutal! I was all like "what teenage girl is singing that shitty punk song?"
and they were all like "naww, girl, it's G'n'R.
Very garage-bandy. I don't like. Not in that 'white stripes way' but in that 'horrid indie way'.
Come on, it was meant to come out 10 years ago.
its never gonna gome out, and if it did, its gonna be a dissapointment.
Its going more use ur illusion 2 way, not the origional appetite sound.
ive heard a few tracks, madagascar was okay i suppose....
GNR remind me of my crap teenage years, shame as some of there songs were good.
I think they have had their day as their sound encapsulated an era. That era was the mid 80's, gone and forgotten.

Axl Rose is reported to have said that Chinese Demcracy is held up due to legal issues.
His new Guitarist Buckethead, has turned into a recluse and as he wrote the album with Axle, not being able to find him has caused problems with copywrite (Axl cannot release the music without his say so).
The album has cost 8 million dollars to date.
If you have heard:
The Blues,
Dust in the Wind,
Maddagaska
and even..... Chinese Democracy,
Then I think we all agree it's worth the wait.
Although, for his fans, Axl should just write a new album, after all, he's got the talent.......
Just check out Velvet Revolver......... Scott Weiland admits that he based his stage charater on Axl, after being a huge G'N'R fan as a child......
Les Paul.
Great band, terrible singer. Just my opinion, mind.

Your opinion is as valid as anyone elses.
Though I do agree with you.
Axl always gets the credit for Guns 'N' Roses, thing is, Izzy Stradlin wrote all of the songs (right up until Use Your Illusion 2 their last album), not counting Spaghetti Incident of coarse (they didn't write that).
Axl famously sacked Izzy Due to Differences (YEAH RIGHT).
Les Paul.
I saw Velvet Revolver, and I saw STP. I thought Weiland was great with STP, and I thought he had pretty much the same persona and moves with Velvet Revolver, but for some reason, it didn't work with them. He looked like a little dancing fairy up there with Slash and Co. No chemistry with the rest of the band either. But that was Velvet Revolver's first tour, so maybe things have changed.

Axl didn't write anything on Appetite for Destruction? I just recently was looking in the sleeve for Use your Illusion, and Axl wrote most of those songs, some are great tunes.

On Use Your Illusion 1 and 2, you will find all of the band members names on the song credits, accept for November Rain.
The only song personally written by W. Axl Rose.
Axl is most deffinately a very influential song writer but he cannot take credit for Guns N' Roses music, it was a complete collaberation.
If in doubt check out their music books for guitar etc, where lisence of songs cannot be just put in the name of the front man.
Do you really think that Lennon and McCartney wrote all of those songs without Georges Help........... I think not.
Axls blatent plagerism is what eventually broke up the band.
Les Paul.
Makes sense. I figured it was a collaboration between Axl, Stradlin, and Slash. And they made some great music. But now Velvet Revolver, while ok, isn't close. And the one new song I heard from GNR was pretty bad.

I think that the problem is, is that all of the ex members are trying to re-capture the sound G n R had.
This is not going to happen, as they produced all of their tunes as G n R.
But then we don't help by putting on the pressure, maybe it's the fans that need to realise that, Guns and Roses WERE and are not going to be again.
Les Paul.
