Shocked

Already?!

Can you believe that?

I can't.

.... So, is all on schedule for you, then?

I mean, are you getting through what you intended to do?:

- that course you meant to do.

- that garden you intended to plant.

- that terrible relationship you'd planned to abandon.

- those cigarettes you'd planned to give up.

- that weight you'd hoped to lose ....... etc, etc, etc, etc, etc ..

Progress report, anyone?

(Procrastinators need not respond! It'll just make you feel bad! )

Excellent, osso!

...Now I'm trying (valiantly!) to think of something I've managed to achieve. Bear with me ... there's gotta be something!

What a difference a hemisphere makes.

To me, May is when I start thinking about this stuff... spring is well and truly here! Summer is starting, even! Energy returns! Projects are conceived!

Fall (Octoberish) is when I start with the ugh it's fall already -- so much that I wanted to do, did I get it all done? And changing gears for winter.

Right now I'm all giddy still. :-D

Oh I'm so insanely jealous, soz!

Spring, energy & a sense of purpose!

So, any specific plans, yet?

That's just how I felt last fall (here) when you guys were talking about the arrival of spring (there)!

Most of the plans have to do with the garden and summer travel (we've been meaning to get to my husband's family's cabin in Colorado for years and haven't yet, etc.), plus classes and pool passes and such for sozlet's summer activities.

Sounds good, soz. Very Happy A good mix of getting some jobs done & pure pleasure! A cabin in Colorado. <sigh>

It's not entirely a seasonal thing with me. I'm actually a bit shocked that the year is rocketing along so quickly! Five minutes ago it was Christmas! In the wink of an eye it'll be Christmas again! Where does the time go? Confused

Yippee!

Only a few more dreary months until Winter returns! Snow, freezing cold mornings, icy walkways and stairs, icicles ripping down utility lines, winds ripping through the tree limbs with a loud roar. Oh boy, I can hardly wait...

Happy May everybody...

Winter never really goes away by me. I can remember waking up one June morning to find snow outside. Wisconsin is very odd.

No odder than that May morning years back in Santa Fe (New Mexico). Woke up to 3 or 4 inchs of snow on the ground, by afternoon the temps were in the 60's and it was mud and water everywhere. I knew then I had to head back east to normal weather.

I am making progress in winnowing my goods and chattels.

Also, I am making progress in encouraging Mr. Noddy to winnow his goods and chattels. Does a man really need a backup for the backup wet-dry shop vac? A life measured out in extension cords? Coats ranging from M to XXXL?

I may have to bury that man with a backhoe.
