technically speaking, you may have a point, but the online dictionaries i'm aware of don't have an entry for either word, so it's unclear if they're alternate spellings or different terms. time to consult the OED, perhaps.

It seems the author of this thread believes that the private messaging function here constitutes a "private private forum."

Good lookin' out on the child porn reference--i hadn't actually read that far--i had attempted a rational answer and some help in the other "help i'm being stalked thread" which contains the wild accusations about someone splicing into her telephone lines and cable tv line. When i got to this crap, my eyes started to glaze over as i read the first post, and i never made it as far as child porn.
Doesn't surprise me though.
However, an allegation that the character is ensnared with MOAN and PS does inject some new interest . . . although it won't last . . .

It is worth noting that having one's phone tapped will not interfer with placing a call--if you call the FBI, the call will go through, whether or not your phone is tapped.

It is worth noting that having one's phone tapped will not interfer with placing a call--if you call the FBI, the call will go through, whether or not your phone is tapped.
Ever heard of re-direction of a phone call? That's what the FBI calls it, and they don't like it, especially when a phone call to the FBI is re-directed.
