This is basically the view out of the "back" door of our summer cottage on Lake Michigan.

Here's my boy and an unidentified assistant in the middle of San Francisco Bay, with the Santa Cruz mountains rising in the background.

A scan of an old picture (1962). Now the broad, sloping expanse of lawn
that had extended to the left is occupied by a huge glass-and-steel
biotech building.

One of my favourite places here is Normafa, up in the Buda Hills ... beautiful view. You go there in a little train (or, if you're brave, on a bike....)

Its cool in summer, but I couldnt find nice summer pics on the web... but this is autumn:

And this is winter (whoever these guys are, they're cold!!):

Early autumn:

OK then, here he is again at what is probably my favorite place, our cabin on the river in northern Michigan.

Montana, there was a twelve foot alligator on the golf course, and the golfers just played on through. He was finally relocated. Razz

I've played golf with gators. Gives a whole new meaning to the term "water hazard".

So, cj, your neat kid knows how to bow, does he. Can he play acoustic bass?<smile>

When my son was about your boy's age, he made from scratch, a cross bow that shot nails. I never had a peaceful moment from that point on.

I have a huge bucket of water hazard gater balls (hmmm, perhaps I had better rephrase that)

I have a huge bucket of water hazard alligator golf balls waiting for someone to claim them. Razz

another lovely view:

My wife didn't want him to have violent toys when he was younger, so she gave him lots of Lego. He built a Lego rocket launcher.

This is the Frank Lloyd Wright Robie House in the Hyde Park section of Chicago. My first apartment was just a few blocks away.
