Echoing lyrics can be maddening, particularly when The Echo doesn't provide the words.
Can anyone tell me the rest of this ditty?

Thanks, but the version I can't remember had better scansion.
I think the elusive ditty is sung to the tune of "My Darlin' Clementine".
