Woman's arm stuck in games machine

A WOMAN learned the hard way that crime doesn't pay when she got her arm stuck while trying to steal a cuddly toy from a games machine in Victoria.

The woman spent 90 minutes with her arm stuck in the skill-tester's dispenser shute in the Yarra Valley, just east of Melbourne.

Firefighters and State Emergency Service (SES) volunteers freed the woman just after midnight.

The 26-year-old had left the venue earlier with another fluffy toy, which she won legitimately, and apparently came back for another.

A police spokeswoman said the woman's embarrassment was punishment enough and no charges would be laid.
