There are lots of pieces of music made specifically for soundtracks to horror films that we all find creepy...then there are pieces of music/songs that just generally give you the creeps. They might be scary sounding, or hauntingly beautiful and you can't get rid of them from your memory.
It might be the melody, or the vocalist...but there's something about it that makes you uneasy, although you love it all the same...
What are they for you?
"Song To The Siren" ~ Robert Plant
"This House Is Haunted" ~ Alice Cooper
"Tubular Bells" ~ Mike Oldfield"
"Where The Wild Roses Grow" ~ Nick Cave
"Possum Kingdom" by the Toadies
how about a 'type' of music?
Have you heard that slooooooow loooow rap music?
It sounds like it is on a turn table and the RPMS are behind a few beats..
Everytime I hear it, my shackles stand on end..
You mean your hackles, shewolf. Your shackles are those chains over your bed that you use on partners who are uncooperative...
i did mean hackles...
how did that S get there...
for me its got to be that 'Jaws' theme.....
Has Celine Dion been mentioned yet?

What's He Building?
What's he building in there?
What the hell is he building
In there?
He has subscriptions to those
Magazines... He never
Waves when he goes by
He's hiding something from
The rest of us... He's all
To himself... I think I know
Why... He took down the
Tire swing from the Peppertree
He has no children of his
Own you see... He has no dog
And he has no friends and
His lawn is dying... and
What about all those packages
He sends. What's he building in there?
With that hook light
On the stairs. What's he building
In there... I'll tell you one thing
He's not building a playhouse for
The children what's he building
In there?
Now what's that sound from under the door?
He's pounding nails into a
Hardwood floor... and I
Swear to god I heard someone
Moaning low... and I keep
Seeing the blue light of a
T.V. show...
He has a router
And a table saw... and you
Won't believe what Mr. Sticha saw
There's poison underneath the sink
Of course... But there's also
Enough formaldehyde to choke
A horse... What's he building
In there. What the hell is he
Building in there? I heard he
Has an ex-wife in some place
Called Mayors Income, Tennessee
And he used to have a
consulting business in Indonesia...
but what is he building in there?
What the hell is building in there?
He has no friends
But he gets a lot of mail
I'll bet he spent a little
Time in jail...
I heard he was up on the
Roof last night
Signaling with a flashlight
And what's that tune he's
Always whistling...
What's he building in there?
What's he building in there?
We have a right to know
good selection, as far as i've been able to tell there's no such place as mayor's income, but by god there should be
Sunday is gloomy my hours are numberless,
Dear since you left me my nights are all slumberless
Little white flowers will never awaken you,
Not where the black robe of darkness has taken you.
Angels have no thoughts of ever returning you,
Would they be angry if I thought of joining you.
Gloomy Sunday.
Chopin's Revolutionary etude is also eerie. I'm certain there are others, but those two come to mind.
