Anyone ever read the NewMusicBox? The chatter section of this site is always good for a few laughs. It often consists of personal anecdotes by composers who are starting to realize, in the year 2006, that maybe willfully imposed alienation and marginality are not self-evident virtues. Who knew?

I dig new music... but man, composers really crack me up. It's good to know that they're really no different from the most disgruntled indie-rockers.

I felt compelled to revisit the topic after the latest installment from the New Music Box: What A Way To Make A Living by Randy Nordschow.
