Godspeed You Black Emperor

LOL, not only have I seen them live, I went to high school with the singer and the bass player (they were good buds of mine). They completely rock, and I would go so far as to say that they are creating some of the only original 'rock' music out there today (they like 'post-rock', which I think is an apt term). Live, they are incredibly tight, and put on an awesome show, complete with film clips to go with the music.

What are the odds that someone here would know them, personaly? So, where's the link?

Lol, I just realized I said 'singer' in my post (Godspeed has no vocals except 'found' tape)....It is Efrim, lead guitarist, and Mauro, bass player who are my friends. While posting originally, I was remembering an awesome band Efrim fronted in high school as lead singer called 'Noisebleed.' Don't bother looking for them, Efrim has all the recordings, and at this point, refuses to release them.
