This is why I really wish we had PM's.
Pete was Lord Ellpus' real name, it is also the name of his son who is in his thirties. It is possible to contact Pete Jr. through his postings on Youtube. I have not spoken to his son, but based on some interaction with Lord E., about the time he left, I feel he was very ill and possibly not going to get better. The fact that his correspondence came to full halt in the summer of 2007 and then this Youtube posting came on in Sept 2007 makes me believe Lord E. is doing stand-up for St. Peter and the Angels. At least we have fond memories and that is what I think he wanted.

Letty, I'm confused.

When I clicked on that link I didn't see anything specific.

I know Lord E's name, and didn't see it anywhere.

I read the comments of the video that came up on that link, and I didn't see any connection.

The last I communicated with LE his leaving had nothing to do with his health. I won't say anything else about that.

Was there a memorial ON youtube? (which I hope there isn't because I can't think the worst)

I clicked on Mr. Pete's link, but didn't learn anything from that.

didn't see that any of his videos were memorials.

My God, it's like everyone's being so circumspect....what's the story!!!????

I know of no other postings other than what his son put up on YouTube and posted here on A2k. I know about his PM concerning the British Thread, I believe his leaving was more serious than that.

His son did the link under Lord E's profile. I think it was his way of respectfully telling us Lord E is not coming back. The Greenhorn's song seems very clear as to the message. At no time does he mention death, but Lord E. was very sick in the summer of 2007.

This comes as a total shock to me. I do vaguely remember something about an illness, but I thought he got better.

Oh, okay. It was a cute practical joke.

Man, I'm going to miss Ellpus (aka Pete) even more now. I was okay with him leaving on his on accord, for whatever reason, but if he wasn't here due to a severe illness /death, that's a whole different story.

He now joins all the other much beloved members that are no longer with us here.

I later began to suspect that Gus was posing as "Penberthy".

By the way, Reyn, I myself sometimes pose as "Wally Tea". You may have believed that Ellpus was posing as "Wally Tea".

Lord Ellpus had/has a lot of friends on this site. I'm sure many will still remember his many humourous postings, even to this day.

He was different and a breath of fresh air.

I bet he's still be posting today, if he could.
