62-Year-Old California Woman Gives Birth
12th Child Born To Great-Grandmother Whose Oldest Is 40

REDDING, Calif. -- A 62-year-old great-grandmother has become one of the oldest women in the world to successfully give birth.

The healthy 6-pound, 9-ounce baby boy is the 12th child born to Janise Wulf of Redding, Calif. Wulf also has 20 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Her oldest child is 40.

Family members said Friday's delivery went smoothly, despite health concerns involving Wulf, who has diabetes and has been blind since birth.

Baby Adam is the second child born to Wulf and her third husband, Scott. Their other son is 3½. Scott Wulf, who is 48 years old, said he had always wanted children. He said their two sons, born through in-vitro fertilization, are beyond what he had hoped was possible.

Wulf isn't the oldest woman to give birth. That record went to a Romanian woman who gave birth last year at the age of 66.

This chick must be a serious hot-t.

Really!

And she must be in good shape, physically fit and all that.

Because I'm pretty physically fit and I'm only 45 and Mo is only 5 and at the end of the day I'm exhausted and ready to cry that he deserves someone younger....

but....

... but.....

....Mo's younger ones....

.......his younger parents.......

<sigh>

62, blind since birth, diabetic with three husbands and twelve kids...........................sounds like the dictionary definition of overcompensating!

hmm Confused

Most peoples live to be around 70 years old.
Of course, there are exceptions to this... but.. the chances of these 2 children ( not just the new born) being left parentless by the time they are 10 is pretty high.
Im feeling a bit sorry for them.

Top that off with the fact that alot of signs of aging that slow the person down BEGIN at about 60 years old, these children, if the parents are alive in the kids teen years.. are probally going to be put in the role of care taker before they are even allowed to graduate high school....

Overcompensation.. thats a good word.

shewolfnm- Well, her husband is only 48, which is still a rather advanced age for taking care of an infant.

From my vantage point, I observe people every day in their 70's, 80's and even 90's leading active, healthy lives. The thing that I do see as a common thread, is that they are happy when their grandkids visit, and relieved when they go! Laughing
