"It Ain't Me Babe": The changing face of the "New Dylan"

It really is an interesting list. I don't believe any of them came close to rivaling Bob. Any comments?

Billy Bragg was never trying to be anyone but Billy Bragg.

The 'new dylan' tag is the lazy music journo's way of meeting a publishing deadline and the unimaginative publicist's cop out.

I despair of a 'new Beatles' list or a 'new Elvis' list.

How about a 'new Bowie' list?

I think a 'new bowie' label would be as disasterous as labeling someone the 'new dylan'.

Yeah, for some reason the other three seem more possible, even though even fans would have to say David is the most derivative....

Yeah, but then again everybody was derivative of Dylan, Elvis, and the Beatles.

Hell, even I'm derivative of 'em.
