picked up the oct 5 , 2005 (!) issue of PC magazine at the library.
it describes and recommends 'google desktop 2.0(beta)' as a useful computer-users tool (it's free).
i understand that it organizes files , pictures etc and makes it possible to quickly search the computer for such items.
does anyone have any experience with it ?
is it a worthwhile tool or just something that clutters up the computer ?
comments and suggestions appreciated . hbg
I'd be nervous about the privacy thing, myself.
Well, I'd rather do all that myself, rather than a second party having the access to my personal PC.
Remember, Google's fighting to make copyrighted materials publicly avaible. What do you think they'd do with your stuff if you don't have a publishing house full of attorneys to defend it?
(not that anyone would be very interested in reading MY personal stuff).
