Yo, Crazy D. You mean the Divinyls, right?

Yeah, oh well. It comforts me that I'm not sure of the artist. That shows me I have at least a little sanity left.

Good thing too. If I would've got it right that probably would've been what finally sent me over the edge. Shocked
(and by 'the edge' I don't mean Dave Evans, I'm talkin' insanity)

Dear Prudence (Paul McCartney/John Lennon) I love the way this song makes me feel- like a child again

Dear Prudence won't you come out to play
Dear prudence greet the brand new day
The sun is up, the sky is blue
It's beautiful and so are you
Dear prudence won't you come out to play?

Dear prudence open up your eyes
Dear prudence see the sunny skies
The wind is low the birds will sing
That you are part of everything
Dear prudence won't you open up your eyes?

Look around round
Look around round round
Look around

Dear prudence let me see you smile
Dear prudence like a little child
The clouds will be a daisy chain
So let me see you smile again
Dear prudence won't you let me see you smile?

Dear prudence won't you come out to play
Dear prudence greet the brand new day
The sun is up, the sky is blue
It's beautiful and so are you
Dear prudence won't you come out to play?

What is your personal theme song?
Does anyone remember this one? It was one of my favorites while in middle school, and from then on, it became my private "signature" or "theme" song. It's interesting, no one has ever asked me this question, before. So now, I'm answering it with...

WINDY

(Ruthann Friedman)
The Association - 1967

Who's peeking out from under a stairway
Calling a name that's lighter than air
Who's bending down to give me a rainbow
Everyone knows it's Windy

Who's tripping down the streets of the city
Smiling at everybody she sees
Who's reaching out to capture a moment
Everyone knows it's Windy

And Windy has stormy eyes
That flash at the sound of lies
And Windy has wings to fly
Above the clouds (above the clouds)
Above the clouds (above the clouds)

(Flute Solo)

And Windy has stormy eyes
That flash at the sound of lies
And Windy has wings to fly
Above the clouds (above the clouds)
Above the clouds (above the clouds)

Who's tripping down the streets of the city
Smiling at everybody she sees
Who's reaching out to capture a moment
Everyone knows it's Windy

(Repeats)...

even though i've already posted one song, i think this is more my own personal theme song

Best Imitation Of Myself
Ben Folds

I feel like a quote out of context
Withholding the rest
So I can be for you what you want to see
I got the gesture and sound
Got the timing down
It's uncanny, yeah, you think it was me
Do you think I should take a class
To lose my southern accent
Did I make me up, or make the face till it stuck
I do the best imitation of myself

The "problem with you" speech
You gave me was fine
I liked the theories about my little stage
And I swore I was listening
But I started drifting
Around the part about me acting my age
Now if it's all the same
I've people to entertain
I juggle one handed
Do some magic tricks and
The best imitation of myself

Maybe I'm thinking myself in a hole
Wondering, who I am when I ought to know
Straighten up now time to go
Fool somebody else
Fool somebody else

Last night I was east with them
And west within
Trying to be for you what you wanna see
But I can't help it with you
The good and bad comes through
Don't want you hanging out with
No one but me
Now if it's all the same
It comes from the same place
And if my mind's somewhere else
You won't be able to tell
I do the best imitation of myself

Yes it's uncanny to see
You'd really think it was me
The best imitation of myself
The best imitation of myself
