Alone on Valentines Crying or Very sad ... what's a girl to do?

Even though it is just another commercial holiday and there is truly no reason to get upset over this, a part of me is still upset...

Makes me feel lonely!

Any tips on what you can do to avoid the valentines day madness?? To go behind the scenes and become unnoticed?

I don't want to go out to dinner, because I will be surrounded by happy couples, same with the movies... I don't want to stay home because then I will just think about how sad I am and prolly watch a love story movie and cry

I was thinking a bar... but eh...

What would/will you do

At this point in your life, where you do not have anyone with whom to spend Valentine's Day with, I think that it would be very foolish to do anything that would remind you of the day.

What do you normally do on a work night? Read a book, clean your house, watch TV, write on A2K, chat with friends on the phone? I think that your best bet is simply to threat it like just any other day!

Go rent some TV series that you've never seen and watch it until the next day.

On a work night I usually go out, to the movies or to dinner... Rolling Eyes

I don't read until a little past midnight, I don't want to watch tv because of those damn commercials lol

My friends will complain how much they are bored... haha

I think I am just gonna grab all the single girls and watch movies while eating cookie dough.... Laughing

Its 99.9% of the time just another normal day for me.
d do as normal coz Im normally surrounded by happy couples, the day doesnt seem any different.
I cant deny anybody else being happyu because they have something i want.

Keep in mind, couples may look happy, but maybe they are not!

Go buy a bunch of mini-candy bars and hand them out to homeless people.

I'm serious.

It will make you and them feel much happier.

or do like i do. stay at home, then go boxing. nothing comes close to the joy of hitting a heavy bag today.
stick with the people you know and who are not 'dangerous' on this day. turn radio and tv off and do not turn on until tomorrow. or burrow in a dungeon with likeminded anti-valentines crusaders. you will find me there.

I have a boyfriend and take it from me, that's not always a guarantee of a good Valentine's! I've spent the morning in an argument, am sitting here crying by myself now, threw away the card I had for him, etc. . .

I'd love to be alone on Valentine's right about now!

I think it's foolish to feel bad on a day...espeically one so commercially loaded as Valentine's Day.

My husband loves me 365 days a year. Not just one day in February. And if he doesn't get me anything, it won't bother me a bit.

So you're alone on Valentines Day. Big deal. Really. It's just another Tuesday.

Be happy you have had the opportunity to have one more Valentine's Day to be unhappy about.

We care, even if it is a trumped up holiday.
