I was reading the WSJ this morning, and there was an article about www.zillow.com It is a site, where you can determine the going prices for real estate in your area.
The nice thing is that you do not have to list any personal stuff to get to see the information. Most other comparable real estate sites ask you to register personal information. Their raison d'etre is generating sales leads.
The site is in "beta", and still has a lot of gaps in information. I was playing around with it though, and found out a lot of interesting information.....................like the house that I lived in as a kid, that cost around 10 grand, is now worth over $800,000.
I was on the site early this morning. By now a lot of people have read the article, and the site was probably inundated with "hits". So the last time that I checked zillow was offline. You might want to take a look, when it quiets down.
wow.
very cool. Thanks for sharing Phoenix!!
