This was from the 1959. I have the CD, and still play it in my car! Laughing

What struck me funny, on the website, was the asterisk after I.C.B.M.

* I.C.B.M.: Inter-Continental Ballistic Missile

In those days, EVERONE knew what that meant.

I missed that all. Just remember that I had to carry down sugar, mineral water, tinned conserves etc in the cellar .... after I did as was told: clean it up.

Russians weren't that bad, but our poor sisters and brothers in the Soviet Occupied Zone ...

[It always amazes me, when I hear about these commie fears: what should we have done/said? (I lived about 70 miles away from the former Iron Curtain, an US-nuclear missile base was 5 miles away, several British and German convential bases a bit further ...)]

Of course then his cubs will turn him in to the thought police.

Hey, I was absolutely convinced that we would never make it through the 1960's. I thought for sure that the world would be blown up.

Then I still would have thought that that world would be blown up, but I wouldn't have cared! Laughing

If you mean here in the U.S., I'm thinking we have a better chance of that now

Of course you can.

Your liver will just be older.

Usually being older means that you can afford more expensive vices.

From my day, I can clearly remember the Cuban missile crisis.

Now there was a tense period of history.

Anyone else remember that?

I remember booklets were distributed (in Canada) on how to attempt to bomb-proof your home in the advent of a nuclear strike. Shocked

So...is your ankle bone connected to your humerus as well?

I think you're just connected wrong.

Shocked
