In the poll, it's a dead heat between "Find Jesus" and "Masturbate Constantly".

shouldn't be too hard to find a Jésus on the lower east side...

I voted for drink a lot. Never underestimate the benefits of being properly hydrated.

Ooh, that's not what you meant.

Whatever happened to finding a female of the species? "Hey baby, wanna help set up a Wi-Fi connection?"

Didn't the courts advise you keep that secured inside your trousers at all times?

I voted masturbate constantly. I mean, when you're good at something, you should stick to it, right?

Besides, I know where Jesus is.

Kicky- Unless you are a complete and utter slob, which I doubt, I think that you will have PLENTY to do for the next few weeks. In between straightening books, and hanging pictures, you can masturbate a bit, if that will make the work go a little easier. Good luck!

I'm with the rabbit. I've never had cable and I've had the internet since the late 90's. I lived without any kind of TV for 10 years and feel those were the most productive years of my life. I'm probably one of the few people in America who never saw a Seinfield episode until 2002. I also spent a year without electricity or a flush toilet, but I kind of like that way of life now and then.

Internet access at a public library is free, but usually limited to one hour. Did you go to school in NYC? As an alumni you can use the college computers.

Forget the TV, just set aside your normal TV watching time and write instead. You'll probably have a fairly solid manuscript within a year.

Might be better websites for NY. <shrug>

BTW, "Ask for password" means what it says. You just walk up and ask what the password is. Oh, and you might want to buy a coffee every hour or so.

My last term in college, I rented this place out w/o cable. I contacted the cable company to hook everything up, but they were behind, so it took nearly a month before everything was hooked up. Anyway, that month free from cable was the most productive month I've had. My marks were up. But after i got cable, my marks turned sh*$

Welp, I voted for all of the above. Seems like you have everything pretty well covered.

I agree with Soz, reading's a good idea. Writing too. If you get tired of writing the story, how about doing some journaling? I find it very relaxing. It just helps to get my feelings out and onto to paper. It puts things in perspective for me too.

Unpack your stuff, listen to some music....and get your cat back!!

Thinking about the internet thing, another option would be the dial-up/modem with a twist to it. Some of those pesky providers offer trial runs of a month so Kicky you could try that on for size and then at the appropriate time, cancel out. If need be then you could move on to another and use that until all the cable wires are attached.

Laugh not at this idea, I tried three different providers back at my starting days of internet attendance before finding one I was comfortable with.
