I need help finding a song that has these words in it. Every day is a great day for a carnival- Dancing in the street- Dont stop the carnival- Little girls and little boys having fun.

Jimmy buffett did an album called Dont stop the Carnival but none of the songs on the album fit the song i want. Thanks for your help though. Any more sugestions would be greatly appriciated

Sounds like a song from the kids from Fame programme.
Especially the opening line, its exactly the same.

I think Material girl might have something. Looked it up and Debbie Allen who played Lydia Grant the teacher IN fAME did sing a song called carnival but i cant find the lyrics to check. Can anyone HELP

Oh, my god, if memory serves those are the exact lyrics.I remember the last word of the second line being 'fun', and all the other lyrics fit in.

It was definately sung by Debbie Allen in fame, I believe she was wearing a red dress when she sang it.

I even remember the tune,oh, those were the days.

no - Life should be that easy- My daughter runs a dance school and wants to enter her dancers into the town Carnival and as she has danced herself to this music in the past she thought it would be ideal for the Carnival.
