would-be bank robber frustrated by a teller pretending she didn't understand the contents of his holdup note early Thursday afternoon at an East Side Bank of America branch is also the suspect in as many as a half-dozen other bank robberies, Buffalo police said.
Northeast District detectives said the suspect - about 6 feet tall with a medium build - became impatient with the teller and pulled off the ski mask he was wearing, exposing himself to cameras at the Bailey and East Delavan avenues bank.
He is also the suspect in a pair of robberies at the HSBC Bank branch at 1017 Broadway on Dec. 14 and Dec. 21 as well as the HSBC bank at 529 Elmwood Ave. on Dec. 24, an M&T Bank location at 130 Grant St. on Dec. 27 and another recent robbery at a Bank of America branch. .............
