Ahhh, hug from me.

Im trying to beat off any illness as I need to travel at the weekend and dont want to be ill for it.
It seems germs are spread around the office by telephones being passed around.

We got various ailments just before Christmas that we're just now getting over. No flu, but we did have one doozy of a stomach virus. Then Yaya got RSV, then Keetah got RSV. Almost all better now, so they can go on play dates and get sick again....

Hope you got help from Mr. Wolf during this; being sick sucks ass.

lucky for me, not for him, I got sick on his vacation.
So yeah,.. he gave alot of help. Just didnt really get to do much sleeping in and relaxing on his vacation. Poor guy.
But we DID get alot of re arranging done downstairs and cleaned out alot of forgotten packed up junk. And he has been wanting to do that for ages.

so there was a bonus.

uhh... RSV? whats that?

shewolfnm- Two weeks ago last Monday, out of the blue, I woke up with a nose like a faucet. I ran a low grade fever, (100.5), but I felt like hell. Then it went into my chest, and I had laryngitis, a cough, and a sore throat. For the first week or so, I was weak as a fish. My husband caught it from me, and he is much sicker than I was. And we both had flu shots!

My throat is sore, my head aches, my nose is runny and stuffy.....mucus....ugh, the mucus has started.

I woke up coughing a few times last night to get that really thick piece of mucus up. Gross.

This sucks ass.

wow.
that is exactly what happened here.
Jillian had it first, .. took her to the ER for a HUGE fever.
The doc thought it was a double ear infection. Took her to her normal Doc.... he said FLU.

a few days later, i wake up the way you describe.. and yuppers, I have the flu.

Just sunday, Ian wakes up .... FLU.

His doctor said it was a mild case of ( insert big medical name here...) wich is a branch of a flu that hit california earlier this year. Has been recorded as causing asthmatic symptoms with little or no fever.

We dont get flu shots because they make us terribly sick. But his doctor said that this type of flu that is showing up , has been found mostly in people who HAVE had a flu shot.. Confused And not people who didnt get it.

wierd.

A virus that first causes runny nose and cough, then affects the bronchial tubes. We had to rent a nebulizer and give Albuterol treatments to them both. Not much of a danger to Yaya, but somewhat dangerous for Keetah.

isnt that something kids get booster shots for?
Is that why it sounds familiar to me ?

RSV sounds scary...especially for someone with asthma already. I have to wonder if I am getting that....or is it a "kids virus"?

I had to use my albuterol inhaler last night and I am not suppose to use that stuff unless absolutly necessary (due to my other various ailments and medicines).
I kept having asthma like symptoms. Very runny nose. Cough only at night.

I have never had the flu before either.
I have worked with people who have had it, had family or friends who have had it and spent time with them... nothing. Never.

Out of the blue, I got hit with it.
and ohhhh man .. it is awful.

Thanks for the hug, ill try not to sneeze on ya.. Cool

RSV causes asthma-like symptoms. There's a vaccine, but it's very expensive and they only give it to preemies.

Generally it's a kid's ailment, but T and I both got some symptoms from it. She's been using her inhaler. I don't have asthma, but I've been caughing gunk up.

I need a refill. I haven't used it in quite a while since I take daily meds for my asthma so I haven't gotten a refill (shame, shame on me!). But last night I had to use it. And so I am thinking I'd better get a refill.
