Symbolism in Jane Austen's Emma
I suppose Cliff's Notes would do the trick...

Have you read the book yourself?

I question whether you will find much symbolism in Jane Austen's works; they're pretty straightforward. She said what she meant to say; told, up front, the story she meant to tell. She commented on the middle-class mores of her day, using her characters to display her opinions which were direct and definite.
