how to disable aol explorer

ever since i installed aol's new triton aim, aol explorer became my master explorer without even asking me.

so how can i change that? thanks.

I'm afraid about your only practical option is to delete AIM and all AOL-associated apps via Add/Remove Programs, then hunt down and delete their associated folders, and finish up by manually scrubbing your registry of any AIM or AOL reference. Once you've done that, you can reset IE, or any other preferred browser, as your default browser via Internet Options. Welcome to AO-Hell.

I've never been able to work out why people use AOL.
It's insidious and pernicious.
I advise people to stay away from them in the strongest possible terms.
