This week's Slang City mailing is devoted to BBW (Big Beautiful Women) and SSBBW (Super-Sized Big Beautiful Women).

Illustrating this trend is Ruby. See:

http://www.judgmentofparis.com/BS_R6.jpg

There are three billion women who don't look like supermodels and eight who do.

If anyone can cut and past the poster here, please do. Ruby rocks!

Hmmmm.....a Rubenesque Barbie.....chomp chomp chomp....
well, I guess...chomp chomp...it's about time....chomp chomp chomp.....

But, ya know...chomp chomp.....I kinda think there's gotta be a....chomp
chomp chomp....middle of the road place here
...chomp..chomp...someplace between a super-skinny Barbie and a
seriously overweight one....chomp...chomp......(pardon me, I'm chewing Nicorette gum)......

Because....neither message...chomp chomp ....is really healthy....

If I can try to .....chomp chomp chomp...quit smoking....then maybe
Rubenesque Barbie ....chomp...could lose a few pounds......or Skinny
Barbie could eat healthy and look like a real human being.....chomp chomp chomp.....

just a thought.....

Awe, if she's happy with herself, I think she's gorgeous.

StrayCat - I think the happy inbetween you are looking for can be found by simply pushing the head of a regular Barbie down on her neck. Amazing what that does to make her look less anorexic.

Where'd you learn about that?

That is supposed to be classified information.

In the news today....

Voice of Reason: Research Debunks 'Barbie Ideal'

Wonderful! Now let's all go and guilt-freely buy Barbies for our girls. NOT!

Wonder how much Mattel paid for this research.

The article says:

Quote:
But of course Barbie is not real, and was never intended to represent a healthy body or physical ideal

uhh.. ok, so if that statement were true, why are there not variations of the doll?
Oh yeah.. wait.. thats right.. Mattel introduced colored dolls long ago.
Thats enough variation right?
I mean.. besides color, there are no diffrences....... Rolling Eyes

So, if barbie isnt supposed to be a reflection of ANY human.. why, Mattel, did you feel the need to create colored dolls? H U H ?

yeah.. lets all go buy a barbie.
Hang her, pour alcohol on her, light her hair on fire, stick pins in her buns then microwave her to a crisp

Sounds like little girls have the right idea. ;-)

I really like Ruby!

Over the course of my photography career I have photographed thousands of women and curvy girls totally rule. Nothing beats a curvy girl with confidence.
