I bought an Edward Gorey calendar today simply for the "W" (November) page:
I'm certain that the calendar is otherwise inappropriate but I don't really care. This page is worth it.
What calendar will you be using for 2006?
I have to admit I'm frugal and I go for the free ones. Various vendors that I use for my business send me calendars. One will make to the office as the calendar of choice.
I do have an Edward Gorey pop-up book that I'm very fond of and a signed copy of "Practical Cats" that he illustrated.
Love it! So, will that page be shared with Mo?
2006 calendar? Oh, yes. I suppose I should get one.
Will likely look for an Ansel Adam... or Maxine, depending on my mood at the time I'm picking it out.
The one from the realtor. He has sent one every year for the past 10 years. Oh, and my daytimer.
I usually stick with the freebies too. I usually get a desk diary and a calendar from somewhere (not yet this year.... hmmm.... this partial retirement thing....)
I saw this calendar at an after Christmas sale and couldn't resist.
Oh yeah, it will be shared with Mo! I may take out the page and frame it for his room.
Now
this I like by that fella!
You mean that damn Winnie is back? Next time, I'll use a SILVER bullet, and a wooden stake for her heart.
Winnie is unkillable, roger.
Every time I think she's gone, she returns. I'm hoping that by the time we get to November we can bury her for good.
I live and breathe by a freebie I get from a translation service I've been using for the past 15 or so years. It's about 3" x 6", hard plastic on a small stand. One side is the past/current/next year. The other side has the previous 2 years/current year/next two years. I've kept all of them going back to 1994 - they've come in handy so many times when I'm working on burn rates and projections.
That sounds very handy for all kinds of things, eBeth!
I'm usually either having to dig out old calendars or go to the computer to match dates. I would love to have a calendar like that.
I have several, but the one that is used the most is the Mom's Plan-It with the magnetic strip on it. It's on the front of the refrigerator, of course, and serves as Central Command.
I've seen kid's calenders that have magnetic doodads but not a mom's calender. That sounds pretty cool!
Where does one find such a thing, Eva?
my sister got me the edward gorey calender for christmas, i love his work
Boomer -- The calendars are available at Borders, Barnes & Noble, etc. Probably lots of other places, too. In fact, I bought an extra one last month by mistake. PM me your address, and I'll send it to you!
We're going with the William Wegman puppies calendar.
