What does your house smell like?

I used to buy this chocolate/orange incence at Natual Wonders. When they closed I bought every tube of it they had. It came in a long cylinder wrapped in purple tissue with kind of incency looking writing on it.

I'm out. Despite having horded it for years.

It is really the only incence I ever liked and I miss having it.

Now my house smells like old dogs and young boys and mud.

I hate air fresheners but I have resorted to an "odor neutralizer".

Yuk.

I want my house to smell like chocolate and oranges (with undertones of old dog, young boy and mud) again.

You sexy thang! Lash! I'm making a note to eventually get by the mall to check that out.

I'm thinking this is going to be a total chick question judging by the "dogs" and "blocked sinus'"!

Maybe I should ask what smells people like best.

I've got this lavendar aroma stuff you're supposed to put in boiling water but, instead, I just put a few drops here and there in the potted plant pots.

I love the smell of lavender but you might try dotting it on the lightbulbs, instead of the plants, Blaise!

I'm not really set up for that; I've got a lot of low wattage lamps that don't get all that hot.

Hey Boomer you might want to try this place for your incense:

My house: dogs, burnt wood, various dinners, fried onions/garlic, yeastly breads, and Murphy's Oil Soap.

Sex and honey mustard sauce?

Duh. No. We're not going to ask.

C'mon. You've gotta tell.

Blaise, I'm still betting those bulbs get hotter than the plant pots.

Thanks Green Witch! I see that they have a chocolate/orange variety there!

Your house smells very homey from here.

For the holidays I've been burning cranberry and vanilla/sugar candles, there's eucalyptus and pine fron the tree and other decorations, a sugary potpourri in the guest bathroom, then the usual incense we burn, alternating between a musk one day and lemon the next. My husband's little Black & Mild cigars. Tonight I reheated the baked chicken, collard greens and macaroni and cheese from Christmas so that's mixed in too. Can't imagine what it all smells like to fresh senses. Smells like home to me.

This evening my apartment smells like the apple-blueberry muffins I just made. Very Happy (I've been known to light candles that smell like baked goods when I don't have time to actually bake.)

My favorite is Party Lite candles - Honey Dew Melon. Very clean, not fruity or flowery.

Currently, though..... DOG!

Oh, and I have gas. Bear was too kind to mention that.

Darn it! Where's my candles???

True enough. I guess I just like the little whiffs I get when I walk by certain areas.
