This is an "Ich Dien" two pence piece, and there aren't too many of those around, to say the least. The usual two pence has "Ich Bien" written on it, which in Franco German, means "I am Well".
"Ich Dien" is the Prince's personal motto, meaning "I serve".
The Ich Dien was made in the Prince of Wales Mint, (actually in Wales) and only made for a very short time, and in very small numbers.
They were sold through mail order, and I purchased two for a total price of £29.99, if I remember correctly, about three or four years ago.
Nowadays, they would be worth about £40 or so? Who knows?
