Harvest Wind, Neil Young

The last Young CD I bought when it was newly released was Harvest Wind. Other than the fact that Youngs falsetto is faltering about, he is better than ever. I just got the CD yesterday and it has already grown on me.

Love the first cut "The Painter" "Its a long road behind me, its a long road ahead, if you follow every dream, you might get lost."

"My Old Guitar" addresses the perspective that the guitar is only his for a time that someone else had played it before and someone else will when he passes it on. His personification of the instrument is haunting. Emmy Lou Harris provides some beautiful back-up vocals.

This is a must buy for any Neil Young fan. The package containds a DVD as well which IO haven't viewed yet.

The first time I went down on a woman, she had Everybody Knows This is Nowhere on the stereo. "Down by the river, I shot my baby." "I want to live with the Cinamon Girl" "The losin end"

How the hours will bend
through the time that you spend
till you turn to your eyes,
And you see your best friend
looking over the end
and you turn to see why,
And he looks in your eyes and he cries.

Round and round and round we spin,
To weave a wall to hem us in,
It won't be long.
It won't be long.

Funny, I can't remember the album side ending...oh mah God, that was December like 1972, in a little apt on 22nd st, Baltimore, she was Italian but looked Oriental, gosh I am still in love.

Maybe After the Gold Rush was on too

Now that you found yourself losing your mind
Are you here again?
Finding that what you once thought was real
Is gone, and changing?

Now that you made yourself love me
Do you think I can change it in a day?
How can I place you above me?
Am I lying to you when I say
That I believe in you
I believe in you.

"All in a dream, all in a dream
The loading had begun
They were flying Mother Nature's
silver seed to a new home in the sun"

I love Neil Young. I saw him once in Toronto with Pearl Jam and Soundgarden as openers. I love Neil Young.

Years ago, I remember watching a video about the making of the canadian version of the whole BandAid, african aid, christmas tune rigamarole. It was called Tears are not Enough. The whole echelon of canadian talent assembled in one studio and sang thier little hearts out. When its was Neil Young's turn to sing, David Foster; the producer, cuts him off and tells him he's a little flat. Without blinking an eye, Neil looks at him and says, 'That's my style man, that's my style'.
With out a doubt...a troubadour extrodinaire Very Happy

Yeah, it's Prairie Wind.

Heard the song "Tell Me Why" from After the Goldrush yesterday. I love Neil. The Crazyhorse rules. Saw Neil accoustic a couple years ago. I love his piano songs.
