I was just making one of my inane, boorish, idiotic, totally predictable and stupid come-ons to Chai Tea, and I typed the words "take a walk on the wild side"...Remember that song? Lou Reed? Damn, I forgot I loved that song! And I don't have it! Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to illegally download it. Yeah, I dowload songs illegally off the internet. I'm controversial.
Here's a list of songs that you forgot you loved, and should go steal off the internet immediately. Add to it if you dare.
1. April Wine--Just Between You and Me
2. Lou Reed--Take a Walk on The Wild Side
3. Cat Stevens--Year of the Cat
4. Shooting Star--Last Chance
5. Stevie Wonder--Livin' for The City
And what else? Hmmm...
David Bowie - Queen Bitch.
I don't know that one. Is it possible for me to love a song I don't know? Ooh, that's deep. Or I'm sleep deprived.
How about the Queen song, "You're My Best Friend"? That is one of those songs that you hear every decade or so, and it instantly makes you feel all fuzzy inside.
REM highway
who did that stupid song.... everybody walk the dinosaur?
that dinosaur walk sounds so damn familiar, but I can't place it. Can you hum a few bars?
Tell Me Somethin' Good = Rufus and Chaka Kahn
Funkadoodly ****. Love it.
OOH! I've just remembered one by Morphine, but I can't think of the title.
.....chorus goes something like "top floor, second buzzer" (ish)....now, if you want cool with a capital C, try that one on your download list, Mr K.
Apart from that...here are a few better known suggestions.
Stones - Angie.
- Wild Horses (acoustic)
Hazel O'Connor - Will you.
Joe Jackson - Different for girls.
Pluto Shervington - Ram Goat Liver.
Robert Plant - 29 Palms.
Steve Harley - Come up and see me(make me smile)
Travelling Wilburys - Tweeter and the Monkeyman.

Are you talking about that song that went:
"Open the door, get on the floor, everybody walk the dinosaur"? I think that band was called Was (Was Not)
Oh LordE - I love that Joe Jackson song!
Morphine! I'm a big Morphine fan. Seriously, the band, not the drug. I have the album with "Like Swimming" on it. What's that song they had...****, now it's going to drive me up a dogmadded wall...
i dont remember their name..
i think you are right.
but i used to love that dumb song.
I had it stuck in my head the other day.. no clue where it came from though.. I have not heard that one in years.
The Talking Heads - Burning Down the House
Nico - Sweet Jane
Bruce Springsteen - I'm on Fire
Koko Taylor - You Can Have My Husband

Yeah! I remember that song now! How annoying it was! Hated it!
****, that one's right up there with that "You can dance if you want to, you can leave your friends behind...cause your friends don't dance..." Men Without Hats? Was that the name of that band? God, I think the name of the band was bad enough that it actually affected how I thought of their music! The song would have been okay if it wouldn't have been done by a band called Men Without Hats. Has there ever been a worse band name? Seriously! Has there?

Sweet Jane. That is a classic. Love it!
Trivia question...what huge Oliver Stone blockbuster movie was that song featured in?
Psychadelic Furs - Pretty in Pink
Ramones - I Wanna Be Sedated
Devo - Girl You Want
English Beat - Mirror in the Bathroom
Oh crap. Now I'm not going to be able to stop thinking about this.
Natural Born Killers
A few good songs on that soundtrack.
sublime is a music/movie trivia badass.
Got it! Just dug out the CD....."Top floor, bottom buzzer".
Remember this one?
Soul Coughing--Super Bon Bon
"Move up side and let the man go through..."
