Okay, check this out. Last night I had the CD "Lateralus" by Tool on repeat all night while I slept. And I had the most vivid dream I've ever had in my life. When I woke up in the morning, I remembered every detail, and immediately started adapting it into one of the best short stories I've ever written. When the story is finished, I'll post it in the Original Writing forum. But seriously, if you are a Tool fan, I recommend trying what I did. I honestly believe that Tool's music stimulates the subconscious mind, and although the psychological ramifications of such a potent device are somewhat daunting, you should still try it. Put Tool's "Lateralus" CD on repeat all night, soft enough so you can sleep, but loud enough so you can hear it. If you try this, post the results of your experiment. (Although, I do not recommend attempting this experiment while under the influence of hallucinogenic drugs: the result might be far more than the human mind can handle.)
I wouldn't be able to sleep with Tool playing.
But yes, they're unreal. If you haven't seen them in concert, make it a priority. I haven't seen a live band play as tight as they do. So much talent overall: one of the best drummers in rock.
I need dead quiet when I sleep.
See, I can sleep through anything, even stuff like Slayer or Pantera. Although I do hear the music in my dream as it's actually playing.
This sounds interesting......
I'll search for this CD in the UK.
Thanks.
Slappy's right. A great band, and a great live show. Unbelievable music.
Great stuff. I guess you can tell by my avatar I like them lol.
Great Band... but not the best ever.
You know they were also Green Jelly who did "Little Pigs", right?
They're not bad. I think i'll give it a try. I usually listen to rock music until 2:00 am in the morning (but only on weekends).

The drummer was in the band...they weren't Tool as a whole.
I enjoyed their sound for about the first 2 albums. After that it all started running together. Much like AC/DC.
Tool have the best Vid's though...

Yeah, but they didn't make very many... I think only 5 of their songs made it to music video...
yeah I know....but were'nt they just wicked!
Yeah my favorite music videos of all time run: Sober by Tool, Stinkfist by Tool, Prison Sex by Tool, There There by Radiohead, and Beautiful People by Marilyn Manson. SO i would conclude their videos are awesome.
I also liked the vid to 9 inch nail's song 'Closer'
