I have never heard of Craigslist before, but I can see how one could get hooked.

Within ten seconds of entering the site, I found an advert where a muscular woman of 41 was looking for a man for something to do with LTR, which I take to be Light Tea & Refreshment.

Seeing as how the USA is so far away, I have decided to pass the referral onto Jack Webbs.

I wish we had a Craigslist thingy in the UK. I could be having tea and refreshment all over the place.

How very civilised.

I was supposed to see this table this morning:

It is only $40! I got stuck in some way bizarre traffic jam. I went about four miles in about an hour. The guy had to leave for work so I'm going to try for an earlier start tomorrow.

Forty bucks seems like a good deal.

I started checking out the rentals in my area -- amazing deals!

I'm going to hold back on that knowledge just for a bit though. We ususally rent this condo that has a pool and I'm shopping around for a good price on this little waterproof digital camera..... and I've never done any underwater stuff before..... and pools are pretty scarce around here.... so...... ummmmm.

They DO have craigslist in the UK, LordE. I'm sure they offer tea and refreshments just like we do here!

Really? I'm jolly excited to hear that. I can't wait until I tell my wife.

YES....there IS a UK site, and I think I've found one!

"I am 37, a medical professional, looking to find A Funny, Sexy, English Gentleman.....38-52, emotionally healthy. I live in San Francisco, California. I am not meeting any quality men around here so willing to Import & Export."

Bit concerned though.

Am I, in your opinion, emotionally healthy?

Although THIS one concerns me, somewhat......

"Buon giorno, I am a young single energetic cross dresser, looking for friends/possible love with a tall handsome lad between the ages of 29 - 33 in the London area. I would love to meet someone who is about 6ft 1' to 6ft 3' tall, nice, sweet, gentle and have great qualities.

I am of of Italian extract, 5ft 11', 160 lbs, brown eyes, and great smile. I am a professional with goals and aspirations and lots of fun to be around.

I presently share accommodation with a woman who spends too much time in the bathroom, and my hobbies include jazz, beer and peeing in the sink.

If I am someone that would make you click drop me a line. "

I HOPE it is Kicky because I really can't stand the thought that a whole lot of guys are peeing in the sink.

I think it looks like a cool table, shewolf. I should know tomorrow. If it isn't perfect for a coffee table it would be perfect right in front of my window as a kind of shelf/table/plant thingamabob.

Hell, you can't hardly go wrong for 40 bucks.

I went to pick up my table this morning!

(STILL shaking my head over why anyone here still drives into the city everyday when we have such an excellent transit system.)

It is very cool. Someone has started on a refinishing project which is a mixed blessing. You can see where the table once had a lovely Japanese painting on the top - now reduced to outlines.

It looks like someone else might have gone in and doodled a few elements - a space ship, a sun, at some later time in the tables life.

I know there is no rescuing the painting but I'm unsure of how to proceed with the refinishing.

I think I'll have to pose a table question if I can get a good photo of the underlying image.
