Yeah 3500 lights - seems like we could use double but they are still adding a few.

Meanwhile I started adding some lower limb ornaments. This finial is about 18 inches long:

Here you can see that finial in the very left hand side of the frame:

These are made from glass so I want to see how things work out before I add any more. I wired them up there pretty sturdy though so, fingers crossed, I don't end up with a yard full of broken glass!

Once I actually get the yard straightened up I'll step back a few paces for a better photo!

You might think about some recycled ornaments with flattened tin cans, stencils and tinsnips.

Cool idea! I bet that would catch the reflection of the lights in a great way!

If you're interested in getting more than one season out of your Tin Can Art, better shellac 'em. They don't make tin cans the way they used to.

You can also cut cardboard shapes and wrap them in aluminum foil--this has fewer knife-like edges for little fingers.

This is all so very cool! Thanks for the photo documentation, too.

Mo might like to be traced as a life-sized, silver-foil gingerbread man.

Oh that might be fun! I might have to drug him to get him to hold still long enough to trace but I suppose I could figure something else out.
