For your viewing pleasure I am documenting it's decoration.
Step one.....
Show us a picture of your Christmas tree!
Your tree is so big I'm now too ashamed to post a picture of my measly 7 footer.
A fully paid up member of the bourgeios sap's brigade and doesn't he look cute.
This is a tree that is growing in my yard. It is probably ancient! It is about 70 feet tall.
Isn't it a beautiful tree?
We ususally don't do a Christmas tree and neither does our neighbor so this year we decided to go in together and decorate the tree between our houses.
Go ahead and post a picture. I'd love to see what everyone is doing tree-wise.
It is getting too dark for much more documentation but here is our neighbor starting to string up the lights:
boom-
What made you suddenly lurch into this novel behaviour pattern.
Our neighbor is a professional landscaper and therefore gets deals on equipment rentals of this sort. He had some tree pruning to do for some clients..... we started talking.... one thing led to another.....
Mo wanted a tree this year and since it is our first "offiicialish" holiday with him we wanted to indulge a bit. We have a lot of pets so chopped down and stood up trees are a bit of a hazzard around here so this made sense.
Next stop, Rockefeller center?
Have a good time.
Cool, I can't wait to see it all aglow.
Haha, that's what I was thinking Noddy: Rockefeller Center
in Oregon.
Did you actually rent a lift for this project? How much is that going to set you back?
And now that I have your attention, boomer, I have a question.
What is the correct pronunciation of Oregon?
I mentioned Oregon earlier and was chided because of my supposed mispronunciation.
gustav-bubba has an accent?
Okay, here is our tree plus christmas decoration
And that is a beautiful tree, by the way. I hate to see it destroyed by all those lights. And the birds! Think of the birds. Where now will they hide?
You ever sleep in a motel room with a big neon light glowing outside? That's how it's going to be for these poor birds. They'll move to a tree across town and you will be deprived of their melodic singing.
The whole thing is a tragedy.
(talking about boomer's tree, not Jane's)
Gus--
Little electric heaters for little chilly birds are very much in the spirit of my Christmas.
Of course, your swamps never freeze.
My swamp is frozen solid right now. I had to chop a hole in the ice this morning to get some water for my coffee.
Boomer this is going to be great!! Get the tripod on that camera!!
