The Bangles weren't bad nor were the Go-Gos and Belinda Carlisle on her own was always great...So many, groups so little space to listy them all.
The Pretenders aren't a girl group but Chrissy Hynde is the best rock chick ever.

What about bands with female vocalists? Yeah Yeah Yeahs...I used to listen to the Breeders, Elastica, Belly...then there are female pianists, Tori Amos, Sarah Mc-howeveryouspellherlastname, Mazzy Star.
And then of course, the greatest female performer of all time: Ashley Simpson.
Yeah, I admit it. I like the f*cking Go-Gos...so what? Does that make me any less of a man? Huh!?
How about that androgenous, flat-chested, really freaky chick there...ummm...what the hell is her name again? The black woman with that flat-top hairdo...she's really scary-looking...I think it's Grace something...****, I can't think of her name now...didn't she go out with, or maybe even marry, David Bowie? What the hell is her name?
