I have a pair of boots that I love and are fairly comfortable but after being on my feet for a few hours, the balls of my feet get sore. I have very sensitive feet. The inserts you can buy slip. I was wondering if anyone has used moleskin and if it bunches or even pads at all.
Or if you even have any clue what I am talking about.
Don't use moleskin for this. Moleskin and Molefoam are used on blisters. You cut a hole in ths stuff to match the blister. What's left goes AROUND the blister to relieve pressure.
I do use heel pads, and the gel stuff seems to work best on heels (for the impact). Try one that extends the full length of the foot for the ball of the foot. They're more likely to stay in one place. If it has gel pads at toe & heel, fine. If it's just foam, that should work on the ball of the foot real well. I tend to use the SOF brand. Others are probably good, too.
i bought these inserts, in plain old CVS, that redistribute pressure put on foot. normally most goes on the heel, but they are formed so that some of the weight falls on the middle and front of the foot. they're blue and black, were like $12. they work great for me. don't slip at all.
The problem with full inserts is that they make the boot to tight. And the thin ones don't have enough padding to comfort the ball of my foot.
This stinks.
Thanks guys!!
they're not full inserts. they just go up halfway. never had a problem with them sliding around though. there's always superglue if they do. superglue is like bleach. it's good for almost any purpose.

Half way starting at the heel or half way starting at the toe?
