Why such hot topic in recent press about the panda Tai Shan?
Why do americans like panda?
What is special with that panda to attract your attentions?
Is it because Tai Shan was born in US's Zoo?
After 2 years, he will leave you, r u going to CRY for him?
If China can give Taiwan panda as gift, why not she gives it to America?
Uh, no. It's just what's called a fluff piece in the news business -- an easy, family-friendly news story that doesn't require a lot of difficult reporting or expensive travel. That's all.
I like panda because it's juicy and tender, with a somewhat spicy flavor. But, given that it's an endangered species, you really have to pay through the nose to get your hands on some panda . . .
Pandas...they seem friendly, cute, adorable and make great housemates although I have a dickens of the time getting enough bamboo for them.
Hard to say just what creates all the pandamonium which surrounds them.
That was a truly disgusting, low pun . . . i salute you . . .
Yes. We are going to cry like little American babies for the Panda. Boo-hoo-hoo silly American crybabies.
Me rikey panda! Me have led t-shirt made to say "me rikey panda!" Panda soooo cute and you know panda rikey hugs!
OMFG! I am ashamed to say I laughed at that, Slappy.
Panda is cute, innocent and friendly, many children like it as liking Mickey. Disney shall create a cartoon of Panda.
Wot Drewdad says.
I shall now go and beat myself with twigs.
I am pleased to see that Slappy has met someone who speaks his language . . .
You're pleased? Darn it... now I have to go back to the drawing board.
Anthropomorphism plays a role here. Pandas sit up and stand up like people as other bears do, the coloration adds to the charm too. Generally, any animal that has human traits, either physically or behaviorally, is more appealing to humans than otherwise. Animals that are least like humans are the most disparaged, eg, snakes and insects.
On top of that, the young of animals are even more appealing because they have the attributes of infantile humans: short snout, weak chin, relatively big eyes etc.
Anthropomorphism is not a bad thing; I love cute, cuddly animals too, but I also love the not-so-cuddly ones like snakes and insects.
Andy Panda, from the old old cartoons.
can't see yours edgar
here's another (or maybe the same one since i don't really know)
I see both Andys. They so cute.
i only see mine, is it different from yours?
Mine was different. I could see it before, but now it's gone.

True. I love Koalas. And Koalas get stoned on eucalyptus leaves and rape each other.
