I have been asked to find a book by a woman who left the Amish way of life. She was interviewed very recently on TV.
I have come up with a couple of possibilities, but if anyone has any ideas beyond novels by Beverly Lewis, and by Miriam Toews. I'd like to know.
I have also come up with a biography by Ruth Irene Garrett, but this may not be recent enough.
How new is "new".
I found one called "Born Amish" that came out in 2004 but it was by Ruth Irene Garrett and some other woman so I don't know if that is the same one you found. There is another book by her called "Crossing Over" which seems to be her biography.
