Hmmm. I suppose I can see why AIDS patients might be discriminated against. But sometimes bodies are chopped into pieces and sent to various places -- the head goes here, the legs go there, the torso somewhere else.
Body parts are worth a lot of money because not many people donate and nothing else replicates them entirely.
For instance, a lot of lower legs and feet go to a place that tests various footwear for protection against stepping on land mines. Heads will go to plastic surgeons learning new techniques.
I think whole bodies are a real rarity in the donation area.
Hey why not get waxed and sliced? After all if I'm already dead what does it matter and if I can contribute to the arts it doesn't seem too bad an idea. Of course then there would be the matter of what those scientists would do since another option has been leaving my corpse for medical training programs...oh the decisions to be made...maybe I will just leave my self to the mortuary attendant.
