that Bodyworks guy that dips you in some kind of plastic to preserve you then slices you up to make you into art?
Would you want to be on display after your gone?

Would you leave yourself to medical science?

No way.

I remember what I did to the fetal pig we dissected in high school biology. I don't want some med student throwing my liver at some dude just to impress his lab partner so she'll go with him to the prom.

For sure. I'm an organ donor and I could care less what happens to my body once I am done with it. I sure don't need it anymore and if I can help out somebody who needs a spare part it would be selfish not to donate your body.

Im up for donating organs but may feel weird aout giving away bits that amy alter my appearance if I were to be seen in the coffin once dead.Things like eyes.
Although, thank God, I have good eyesight Im not sure if Id want to part with them.
Then again as yousay, id have no need for them.

Dont think Id liek tobe made into art, dont want certain bits on display.

I don't care a bit what y'all do with the meat part after I'm gone. I'll be gone and that's that. Toss my liver around if you will -- but be careful; it's hard as a rock!

My body will go to science, no doubt about it.

Material girl, I have never been to a funeral where the person's eyes were visible. I do believe they sew your lids shut.

Give those eyeballs up!

I just meant the eyelids may look a bit sunken, they probably stuff it with something.

use me up, then burn me. no way can you display me dead in a coffin, ya hear? eeek. i'd rather if someone did a short video or a powerpoint presentation instead. ha, yes, a powerpoint presentation of when i was young and seemly instead of ole dead me.

most times , the eye balls are removed before burial because they 'lose shape' quickly.
The eye socket is then stuffed with jell and the lids glued shut.

Sorry, once I die, i dont care what happens.
i will be dead and never alive to hear peoples opinions of my body again.

you wanna stuff me and hang me from a wall?
Go ahead.

Wanna drop me in a bat of clear wax and display me?
go ahead

wanna do some dirty things to me??
Well.. why the f- didnt you do that when i was ALIVE?

I've signed up as an organ donor.

As for the rest of my body...whatever brings the most comfort to the thousands of grieving friends and admirers, I suppose.

After cancer and chemo my organs are no longer acceptable for transplant, but I want my body to go for medical research. Whether medical students are learning anatomy and letting off steam or whether seasoned surgeons are rehearsing new procedures, I'll be quietly useful.

Of course most medical school reserve the right to refused donations and as my brother pointed, "Rejection is hard to take."

There are a lot of places other than medical schools that use cadavers though and it doesn't matter what shape you're body is in.

but you'll be happy to know that that is the last rejection having to do with your material personna. you can send a tiny little flash of lightning on those undeserving punks from behind the gates of st. peter's.

I believe that AID's patients are subject to after-death discrimination as are people who are missing too many customary body parts.
