This strange and sad case was obviously the work of a mentally unstable individual.
He also made a bizarre apology to actress Jennifer Garner and her husband, "Daredevil" co-star Ben Affleck. Schuth has earlier admitted to fantasizing about being married to Garner, star of the ABC series "Alias."
"I apologize to Jennifer Garner and her pool boy Ben Affleck for involving them in my fantasies," he said.
Man who stored dead mother in freezer sentenced to seven years
Was that "The Cat Did It" Dude? Yeesh....
I didnt read all the article.
Why is it a crime to conceal a body?Unless she didnt die naturally!
Quote:Schuth told investigators Edith Schuth died of natural causes in August 2000. An autopsy confirmed his story. Schuth, who never had held a real job, said he hid her death because he wanted to keep collecting her Social Security checks and he feared authorities would somehow blame him.
she did die naturaly..
he was trying to rip of the government..
that was the crime...
strange little fellow..
The apology for fantasizing about Garner and her "pool boy" is rather weird, too.
Ahh he was a naughty puppy with regards to money, thats fair enough.Jail it is.
But if somebody wants to keep hold of their relatives body, I dont see why not.
Not something Id like to do, just wanted to make that clear.

It's against the law in most jurisdictions, I believe, to do this kind of thing.
For example, you can't just bury a body in your backyard and get away with it.
wich i think is strange.
WHY NOT?
why is burying someone in a grave yard ( wich makes for multiple toxins.. at MUCH higher levels in the soil) legal, and burying someone in the back yard ILlegal?
Totally agree shewolfman.
I reckon its the laws/governments way of making money.
'Got to have a funeral, cant bury anyone in your garden'.
When the father of a friend sadlly died a few years back I found out the funeral costs around £1000!!
Funerals are for the living, not the dead.Suppose its th efear of looking as tho you dont care for the person that died.Youve got to fork out for a nice coffin, flowers, cars, headstone.
The son of the man that died said he would have been happy being but into a bin baga nd buried in the garden!!Would have cost about a pound.
i personally wouldnt mind being left in the forest for animals to eat.
I have eaten plenty of them
time to give back
IMO

You would have to pose that question to the lawmakers, but I believe I'm correct in what I've said.
You cannot just bury a body wherever you like. I'm sure there will be exceptions to this, of course.
