Remember when rock and roll was the last bastion of the rebel? A place for angry young men and women who had a bone to pick against "the man" lived?

All of that is about to change.

Ladies and Gentlemen, have you yet met The Right Brothers?

The Right Brothers are a new band that has a new song called "Bush Was Right". Here's the lyrics:

Quote:
Bush Was Right" by The Right Brothers
Lyrics by Frank Highland

Freedom in Afghanistan, say goodbye Taliban
Free elections in Iraq, Saddam Hussein locked up
Osama's staying underground, Al Qaida now is finding out
America won't turn and run once the fighting has begun
Libya turns over nukes, Lebanese want freedom, too
Syria is forced to leave, don't you know that all this means

Bush was right!
Bush was right!
Bush was right!

Democracy is on the way, hitting like a tidal wavev
All over the middle east, dictators walk with shaky knees
Don't know what they're gonna do, their worst nightmare is coming true
They fear the domino effect, they're all wondering who's next

Bush was right!
Bush was right!
Bush was right!

Ted Kennedy - wrong!
Cindy Sheehan - wrong!
France - WRONG!
Zell Miller - right!

Economy is on the rise kicking into overdrive
Angry liberals can't believe it's cause of W's policies
Unemployment's staying down, Democrats are wondering how
Revenue is going up, can you say "Tax Cuts"

Bush was right!
Bush was right!
Bush was right!

Cheney was right, Condi was right,
Rummy was right, Blair was right
You were right, We were right, "The Right" was right
and Bush was right…
Bush was right!
Bush was right!

Read all about it here: http://thinkprogress.org/rightmarch-email/

I haven't heard the song yet but from what I understand it is very catchy and MTV ready.

What do you think about this?

The rightmarch, eh?!
What can I say except......They are F*king Nuts!!
They deserve to be grouped with these losers; Prussian Blue.

Prussian Blue.

Victory Day Lyrics

Well sit down and listen, to what I have to say. Soon will come a great war, a bloody but holy day. And after that purging our people will be free, and sing up in the bright skies, a sun for all to see…….

Times are very tough now for a proud White man to live. And although it may appear that this world has no life to give. Times are soon changing, this cant go on or long. And on that joyful summer's day we'll sing our Victory song…..

The women, they'll smile, on Victory Day. And the children, they'll laugh and they'll sing and they'll play. And the forests will echo our grace, for the brand new dawn of our Race…

You are my brother and in war we proudly sing. Our Cause shall never tire. Our gift to you we bring: A holy creed of Racial purpose, A mighty Race to defend. And when we fly our holy flag Their oppressive reign shall end….

And when we finally conquer, our people will be free. And all across this great land, the bold Truth we shall see. So as we march together, to avoid catastrophe, let's remember always our sacred Destiny….

Nah. They aren't nearly as bad as Prussian Blue. Not even close.

Those girls freak me out.

I had a thread about them a while back.

Sad.

Ha!

I have been a bit argumentative lately but I'm trying to change my ways.

Still, these guys aren't singing about hate and for all I know, these might be their honestly held opinions but it just seems so anti-rock.

I do believe their attempts to main-stream will be similar to those sad little girls but in this case more because the angst ridden MTV kids aren't going to buy it. Even if the music is good.

Even the people I know who think Bush is right wouldn't have been listening to and digging CSN&Y "Ohio" back in the day.

Or the Stones.

Or the Sex Pistols.

Or whatever.

Actually, I think this is a big part of what has been going on in general, why Bush won in the first place, etc. During the Clinton years, for the first time in my memory and maybe the first time since Kennedy there was a real sense of a Democratic/ liberal majority.

The minority is always what feels edgy, the whole David and Goliath, us against them thing.

(Haven't completed the thought and being distracted, thought about deleting it if incomplete and waiting until I can complete it but will just leave...)

But why 5 years into a republican controlled everything?

I was thing last night and noticed just now how Condaleeza Rice is always "Condi" and never "Rice".

I see "Condi" in a lot of posts on here and hear people talk about "Condi".

Why is she never "Rice".

I'm not Ms. Feminist but doesn't this seem odd?

The same with "Hillary" but I think that is just to differentiate her from "Bill".
