An interesting article.....
The great-great nephew of an Austrian doctor who acquired several fragments of what was thought to be Ludwig van Beethoven's skull in 1863 said Thursday recently completed tests show a high likelihood the bones he inherited 15 years ago belonged to the great composer......
Skull fragments believed to belong to Beethoven surface in California

Well I wouldn't get all excited about it yet; the evidence is less than overwhelming. The main evidence is that it is family lore that it was passed down from him. Ok. The only scientific evidence appears to be that one of the fragments had showed high concnetration of "similar heavy metals" as his hair sample. Wouldn't everyone living in that time period have similar heavy metal concentrations from exposure to the leads etc that were widely in use?
"DNA tests on the hair and bone samples that could definitely determine the fragments belonged to Beethoven is currently underway, Meredith said."
Ask it to roll over, if it does, its Beethoven.
Then again if it hears you, it cant be Bethoven.
You won't get the essence of Beethoven by looking at his skull fragment any more than you'll get the essence of Jesus by looking at a fragment of his cross. Listen instead to Beethoven's music.
Strange how this occurred with less than a month to go until Beethoven's birthday.
Hey Sturgis, I only live 20 min away from you
