Singapore is the place to be!

After launching "Happy Toilet" rankings similar to hotel star ratings and directing tourists to the cleanest commodes in Singapore, the city-state is now aiming to flush away yet another problem when nature calls: queues at women's toilets......

The secret is long troughs with seats over them.

Egads edgar, no it isn't! Give a bunch of women a place to sit next to many other women and they'll sit and either chatter all day or wait until they're alone to do their business.

Put dividers between the seats, allowing for the width of a large woman's posterior as a guage.

A trough allows for long rows of seats, cheap to build, more compact than stalls.

Men don't touch when the stand at a trough. They space themselves about as much as seats would space a person.

Give me a crew of plumbers and a large budget. I'll get women seated and unseated in record time.

The key is to keep the Carolina Cheerleaders out of the bathroom.

confess I got no further than
"..... the local branch of the World Toilet Organization said in a statement." before collapsing.

You know I've heard of the World Trade Organisation is there some mistake?

I know I have stood in many long lines waiting to use the women's bathroom at concerts, sporting events, even the movies.

Meanwhile, men are always in and out in no time…is it because: when there are large crowds, they don't take the time to wash their hands and comb their hair or to re-apply their aftershave, or talk about the best places to shop, or even take the time to complement each other about their clothing and where they purchased it ?Razz

Perhaps they're the same organization! It's just a different department.

Of course, standing versus sitting probably shaves a little time off the whole process, but perhaps you're right, men are less "social" in public toilets.

Yep, some stalls, there is barely room for the toilet paper holder. Couldn't amke em much narrower. So men get bigger stall space too, I guess?

Usually, when there is a crowd, women don't spend much time in the mirror, with the commotion, I find it easier to just use my compact for touch-ups.
