I know a dude shot a bird for singing on his roof when he wanted to be sleeping. Some folks are just too touchy.

We've got 2 cockatiels. One of them is adopted from my wife's family some years back.

They lived in an apartment that got visits from seagulls on the roof on a regular basis. The smart little guy copied the raucus noise that gulls tend to make.

Nowadays (we're nowhere near gulls) every once in a while he'll break loose into one of those gull noises! Shocked Suprises the heck of of you.

Fortunately, a couple of blankets over the cage settles him down.

This bird is quite the mimic. Hears a call and can repeat it after a while. Laughing

No, but he can open one of the little doors that holds in a feed cup!

I've killed a bird for less.

There was that bald eagle that looked at me funny...

There are doors that hold feed cups in place within the cage. He can move these doors. Fortunately, the cups don't fall out, at least not yet.

Here's a follow-up to the shooting of a bird that knocked over a bunch of dominoes.

The Dutch animal protection agency demanded prosecution Tuesday for the shooting of a sparrow that knocked over 23,000 dominoes during an attempt to set a world record....

What has the world come to when you need a permit to shoot a sparrow?

Laughing It's probably going to the same place when people sit around for a month setting up dominoes to knock down later.

On the other hand, I might have accidently stumbled, and knocked over the whole schmeer. Should I come upon such an opportunity, I'll be sure to be packing more than the average sparrow.

If they hadn't had those 750 strategically placed breaks, the sparrow might have knocked over millions of dominos. In which case they might have gone after his whole family.
