A friend of mine(really Laughing) was infected by a bugbear virus. Every time he starts his PC he gets an error message and the following file is gone ":\>c:progra~1\common~1\networ~1\virus~1\40~1.xx\scanpm.exe c:\"

I helped him with a prog to get rid of the virus. But how does he get his Virusscanner back on track?

Thanx!

Dunno, but this page includes some information on how bugbear disables virus scan in the first place:
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/[email protected]

So, perhaps there are some malicious files still there that must be removed manually.
