That's true.....bad knees and all DO make a difference to these things....

Well, the holy family were found cowering at the back of their stable, wet but safe.

It's raining, it's pouring, the old man's snoring! He bumped his head on the back of the bed and couldn't get up in the morning!!!

Kaloo kalay, oh frabjous day!!!

It was kind of spitting at 12.00.

At 2.30 it was pouring down.

At 5.30 it was STILL pouring down.

Gutters were overflowing, the car is clean, water fell from the sky!!!

Halleluljah!!!

I hope Msolga gets it next in Melbs!

Not quite the deluge here that you've received in Adelaide, Deb. (Lucky you!) But a reasonable effort earlier in the evening, thank heavens. 37 C today & humid as hell! Sticky, sticky, sticky! (it's midnight & I have every door & window in the house open. How's a girl supposed to sleep?)
.... But tomorrow, the weather bureau tells us, is another story! Maximum temperature of 19 C! With morning rain predicted. It's trying to rain again right now, but not quite succeeding.

Oh...the deluge was in 2005 (when I started this thread) .... but the rain today was damned decent.....and not just in Adelaide.

Good luck with coolth and rain tomorrow!

Last night was awful for those without airconditioning here.

Thanks! It'd certainly be nice not to be carting buckets of grey water around the garden for a bit! (After the first of April even more strigent garden watering restrictions. Folk in the country have it much worse than us, though.) So bring bring it on! Rampant rain dances, please, folks!

Yep, last night was a stinker here, too. Some sort of record for an overnight March temperature in Melbourne.

Am I to understand, from all this jubilation, that you folks have been experiencing something of a drought this past Summer?

Laughing

Moaning? I wasn't moaning! I expressed Surprised = surprise!

Ya gotta admit, It's pretty darn surprising to jump from 37 C yesterday to 17 C today! A sock day!

Melbourne looks quite lovely & sparkling clean after her first good wash in I don't know how long! Very Happy
My friend W & I did our Maribyrnong River walk this morning (in between showers) & it was fabulous to see so many happy birds twittering away around the river again! Saw some stunning vivid green rosella-types which I haven't seen before, the odd kingfishers .....
