I thought this was a rather odd story, until I realized it was probably a case of parental child abduction. A fight over custody rights, etc.

That IS a weird story.

How do you get that it was a parental abduction out of the information given.

Do you think the guy stole the baby, ditched the car and later called it in? But why wouldn't he have mentioned the baby? And why had the baby not been reported missing already?

The way it sounded to me was that the guy left the baby in the car, the car was stolen, the robber realized there was a baby in the car and ditched it.

That doesn't explain why the guy didn't report the baby missing though....

Really weird.

Keep us posted!

Ok
a real off the wall idea..

what if he tried to sell the car, and was high enough to have forgotten the baby?
I know there was no referance to drugs.. but there are some big key points missing to this story and in my mind, adding drugs to the story makes more sense to me then thinking he just forgot to tell the police he was missing his child .. Confused

But if he had sold the car why would the guy have left it in some strangers driveway with the door open?

Heeeyyyyy.....

Maybe the guy who stole the car realized there was a baby in it and parked it in his own driveway then called the cops and reported it.

That makes a little bit of sense.

Now we just have to figure out why the other guy didn't report the baby stolen along with the car.

Hmm, after re-reading it, I'm not so sure now.

Now I'm really confused! Laughing

Definitely way too weird. As the one officer in the story states, there is definitely much more to this story.

The weirder and weirder people get, the more and more I just want to stay home.

You and me both. My wife and I tend to be home bodies.

So, how did the marriage ceremony go?
