I think you're right , Mr Swann........these modern day boy bands have their screaming admirers at this moment in time, as did the Bay City Rollers in the 70's.......but the same fate will befall them, as the fans pass out of puberty.
I bought the most recent Stones CD the other day, called "A Bigger Bang", and rate it as one of their best.
It took a few plays to get into it, but once the brain has familiarised itself to the various tracks, it demands that the volume gets turned up loud.
Classic Stones (apart from one track, everything else is superb).
I've thought about checking out the latest Stones' CD myself, Lord E. That last "new" Stones' CD I bought was the superb live CD, "Stripped" from '95 or'96. I still believe their consecutive 4 albums, "Beggars Banquet", "Let It Bleed", "Sticky Fingers" and "Exile on Main Street" from 1968-72 is rock's equivalent of a Grand Slam and IMHO, unparalled in rock history.
