Welcome to the new A2K Avatar Project, part 2.

I started this new thread so I could make a good explanation as to how I'm doing it now. I was unable to continue editing the first post of the old thread, and in the process, things got a bit confusing. I had to end up putting the new updates at the end of the thread, and then it would get buried when additional posts were added.

Plus, when I went to update, old photos would be removed from my photo host, resulting in blank posts and really confusing folks. Anyone new to the thread didn't know what the heck was going on.

So, with this thread, you will find the updates close (hopefully) to the end of the thread. If not, go back a page or two. You will find the latest version. In pages prior to the latest version, you'll find blank spots where the previous versions were before. I'm unable to edit that out, due to the new editing criteria.

When I first started this project, I was requesting people to post if they wanted to be included in this artwork. That didn't work out too well, as only certain people check this topic out, making this effort rather incomplete.

So, now I'm randomly adding avatars as I find ones that I haven't added previously. If you can't find yourself on the canvases, and you want to, but you can't wait for me to get to you, just post a request, and I'll include you in my next update.

If you see yourself and you do not want to be included, just post and say so. I will remove your avatar promptly.

Change your old avatar? If you want me to put your new one in the project, again, just say so. Sorry, but only one avatar per person to be included.

As I add more and more avatars, you will see additional canvases being added. The intention, at this point, is to make this project open-ended. From time to time, to keep things interesting for old viewers, I will mix and match avatars from one canvas to another. I will announce when I do this.

I hope you enjoy my efforts.

I don't think I can. Or, maybe I can, but I'm too clueless to figure that out. Laughing

The important thing is that I try to include as many as possible. That's my goal.

Ye gads! A terrible over-sight! Don't know how that happened. I will re-add you in my next update.

Anyone else missing that was there before? If so, my apologies. Embarrassed

Artistes can't always pander to practical considerations.

Artistes must create.

They also screw-up when they're trying to do too many things at once. Laughing

Hi, Bob. Nice of you to say. Hey, why not start using your old avatar again?

Here it is:

Just update your new profile. Smile

Fantastic, my dear friend.

Francis is missing, but I'm certain he'll return.<smile>

Your tribute to Joanne and Cav is so touching, Reyn. Everyone appreciates your efforts, B.C.

Thanks to Calamity for pointing him out to Letty. For a minute I was worried I had dropped someone else. I still don't know what happened to Noddy, but she'll be back soon.

Thanks for that, Letty. It's just a small thing, but a nice little remberance.

Do you, or anybody else, know what Mary Pope's A2K name was? David mentions it in his post about Joanne?

If I can find her avatar, I will add it to the same corner.

Reyn, Mary Pope has no avatar, dear. Strangely, she died on my birthday so many years ago.

Thanks, C.J. It seems that Francis' half borders McTag's half.<smile>

Goodnight. I have been up too long.

Oh, okay, thanks for that, Letty.

The only thing I've got going for those that have no avatar is the one that says "No Avatar Selected".

For the most part, size and colour play a big role. Content. Artistic placement.

And sometimes, a little wry humour..... Laughing

That was some of that wry humour that I mentioned above. You missed the other part though. That was the expression on Lightwizard's face. Laughing

I tried to put the hawk back. It didn't work. Don't know why. Maybe it doesn't want to be caged. Maybe I'm inept. Maybe both are true.
