So I'm getting married this november, and my family and friends have this idea that they want me to play my violin for the crowd. So for the wedding banquet, what do you guys suggest is appropriate music from the groom?
I will either play with a piano accompanist, or a unaccompannied solo....(but bigger chance w/ a pianest).
I have played violin for 8 years, and haven't touched it for 4 years, so I am a bit rusty....any tips on good music?
I'm a bit stumped for suggestions, semidevil, but good luck! You can do it!
i wanna be sedated - the ramones
it's what i want played a t my wedding, if i ever decide to get married, and it would sound kick ass on the violin
There's a weird song from a video game called "Katamari Damacy." The song is NOT in Japanese, but it is kind of odd. It says things like "I want to wad you up into my life/ Let's roll up to be/ a single star in the sky." It's rather sweet, but, again, a bit out there. I think it was done on the piano, but I don't know about the violin. My friend is going to try to get my brother to play it at his wedding.
heaven knows i'm miserable now - the smiths
it's the sentiment i'd want to express, and would suit the violin perfectly
semidevil, the question is do you want something contemporary or something classic? Something to your bride or something to entertain?
For your bride, how about her favorite song? She'll recognize the tune and that would be a sweet sentiment.
For the rest of the wedding, how about a classic? My personal favorite is Moonlight Sonota but there are so many to choose from.
